Well done to everyone that competed at the above championship, the highlights were 2 fantastic individual silver medals.
Nina Clark continued her fantastic XC season with a superb silver medal in the u15 girls race. Nina reeled in the leader and both were shoulder to shoulder until 50 meters to go. She was backed up by Zoe Baillie in a fantastic 8th, both now should be picked for Team West to compete at the Inter Counties in 2 weeks in Nottingham. They were backed up be Reeve Stuart 96th and Elspeth Thorpe 103rd as the team Finished a brilliant 5th.
Ben Baillie picked up a outstanding Silver in the u17 mens race, In 4th after lap 1 he ran down the 2 giffnock boys on the golf course before putting in a devastating kick from 600m to give him time to high five down the finishing straight. He should also now be picked for inter counties. He was followed home by Brian Heslop 41st, Cameron Fraser 56th, Euan Thorpe 60th and Angus Wilkinson 72nd.
Other Highlights was fine top 20s for Millie Ashelby 14th and Jack McMillan 16th in the u13 races. The senior men finished a very respectable 13th in the team race.
