Tuesday 24th of February saw the club hold its annual awards night.
First medals awarded were for the clubs Cross Country Championships held at Kirkland Park, Strathaven on Saturday 17th of January, were as follows:
U11 Girls: Bronze – Evie Fraser, Silver – Hannah Neilson, Gold – Sophia O’Raw.
U11 Boys: Bronze – Samuel Ballentyne, Silver – Luke McCormick, Gold – George James.
U13 Girls: Bronze – Jessica Caskie, Silver – Ellie Taylor, Gold – Millie Ashelby.
U13 Boys: Bronze – Owen Palmer, Silver – Angus Fairbairn, Gold – Jack McMillan.
U15 Girls: Bronze – Sophia Crowder-Wright, Silver – Zoe Baillie, Gold – Nina Clark.
U17 Women: Gold – Matilda Frew.
U17 Men: Bronze – Brian Heslop, Silver – Angus Wilkinson, Gold – Ben Baillie.
U20 Women: Gold – Amy Andrew.
U20 Men: Gold – Jonathan Hunter.
Senior Men: Bronze – Jack Kirwan, Silver – Patrick Mochan, Gold – John Fergusson.
Masters Women: Silver – Tracey Yates, Gold – Kelly Baillie.
Masters Men: Bronze – Keith Charters, Silver – John Edwards, Gold – Grant Baillie.
Also awarded were medals for the Lanarkshire Cross Country Championships which were held the same day at Strathaven.
U11 Girls: Sophia O’Raw, Hannah Neilson and Evie Fraser won the Team Bronze Medal.
U11Boys: George James, Luke McCormick and Samuel Ballentyne won the Team Silver.
U13 Girls: Millie Ashelby winning individual Silver Medal, with Millie Ashelby, Ellie Taylor and Jessica Caskie winning the Team Silver.
U13 Boys: Jack McMillan winning individual Silver Medal with Jack McMillan, Angus Fairbairn and Owen Palmer winning the Team Gold.
U15 Girls: Nina Clark won individual Gold Medal, Zoe Baillie won individual Silver Medal with Nina Clark, Zoe Baillie and Sophia Crowder-Wright winning the Team Gold Medal.
U17 Women: Matilda Frew won individual Bronze Medal.
U17 Men: Ben Baillie won the individual Silver Medal with Ben Baillie, Angus Wilkinson and Brian Heslop winning the Team Silver Medal.
U20 Women: Amy Andrew won individual Gold Medal.
Senior Men: John Fergusson won the individual Gold Medal, Patrick Mochan won individual Bronze Medal with John Fergusson, Patrick Mochan, Grant Baillie and Jack Kirwan winning the Team Gold Medal.
Senior Women: Amy Andrew, Kelly Baillie and Tracey Yates won the Team Silver Medal.
Masters Women: Kelly Baillie won individual Bronze Medal.
Masters Men: Grant Baillie won individual Gold Medal.
Also held at Strathaven that day was the Club Sprint Handicap Race, medal winners were:
Bronze Medal – Dominic Fahey, Silver Medal – Aria Love and Gold Medal – Lewis Heslop.
Next up were the Special Awards.
First one was the Sheila MacDougall Award. This award is for the best female performance at the clubs Track & Field Championships.
This years winner was Evie Fraser.
Next award was the Pat Russell Award. This award was for the best male performance at the clubs Track & Field Championships.
This years Winner was Harrison Brand.
Next Award was the Bobby Gannon Award. This award is for the best junior male performance at the National Cross Country Championships.
This years winner was Jack McMillan.
Next Award was the Scott Walsh Endeavour Award. This award is for the club member who has shown the best attitude, effort and commitment and is open to all members, coaches and officials at the club.
This years winner was Lewis Heslop.
Next award was for junior athlete of the year.
This years winner was Harrison Brand.
The next award was for Youth Athlete of the year.
This years winners was Ben Baillie.
The final award of the night was for the Senior Athlete of the year.
This was won by Hannah Anderson
